magnum mike
We have a remote fly-in camp and continue to have problems with bears when the camp is not occupied. We clean very thoroughly when we leave and there is no food left out. We have tried moth balls and other scent deterrents. We have even installed electric fence around the cabin. Recently a bear got in the cabin and destroyed a brand new $2000 gas refrigerator. Does anyone have any suggestions we haven't tried to deter or eliminate bears from our camp? Wensel
MagMy cousins had the same issue here in MN, they wrapped the shack in barbbed wire, spaced every 6 inches up the wall and secured directly to the wall itself, bango string tight...it worked
magnum mike
One of my buddies suggested something similar but then realized someone might get snagged after too many wobble-pops. The place already looks like Stalag 13 with the electric fence. Thanks for the tip. If it gets any worse, we'll try it.
