Carp fishing spots

Any good spots close to south metro. I would like to take my son so he can experience carp fishing as I did when I was a kid.

Well, just about any lake or river in the South Metro has carp. Usually in abundance. Some spots are better than others, though. Email me and I'll narrow down the search a bit for you. benandhisbeard at hotmail.

My dad went down by Lillydale/Mendota bridge area years ago but can't remember for sure where he accessed the river at. Anyone familiar with that area of the river?

I dont know exactly how far you are willing to drive, or where you are even located for that metter, but try hittin the minnesota river in jordan. Pitch out a 1 ounce eggsinker with 2 foot power pro leader on it. Cap that off with a plain hook with a gob of crawlers, and you will hook into anything from gar and channel cats, to sheephead and carp.
