Tackle City Ice Fishing Panfish Jigs

I ordered the Tackle City Ice Fishing Panfish Jigs today, along with a couple of FM Decals. I can’t wait to get those Jigs. They have nice colors and a good selection of both vertical and horizontal jigs. Does anyone have any experience with these jigs?

I just placed my order for the tackle City jig kit along with the 1/8 ounce Glow Devil kit. I can't wait to try them out and see if the Glow Devil can catch perch here in Michigan as good as they say they do in Minnesota.

I bought the Tackle City panfishing assortment last year and have been VERY happy with the quality and even more....the price !!
The paint is extremely tough and the hooks are strong and sharp. For sunnies and even slab crappies on URL, they're some of the most highly used jigs in my ice fishing kit.
I would have spent twice the price buying them individually even on clearance at a tackle shop.
I also just got a card of glow devils a week or two ago and the new glowing angel eye jr's and can't wait to try them out. That new red glow should be PFM on the crappies......Hopefully the glow devils will be hotter than the Angel Eye's even...(if that's possible.... wink.gif Rick ???? )

I just got my Tackle city panfish jigs and glow devils in the mail today. They are awsome. I have never seen a panfish jig that has so much paint detail as these jigs do. The Glow devils are also really cool, I would recomend these to anyone thinking about buying some.

I too have used these jigs. They're very well made and get my seal of approval. The glow jigs maintain their brightness for a substatial time period. For the guys/gals who are thinking about ordering the Fat Fry's, be careful, their hooks are extremely small. I made the mistake of ordering a substantial quantity not realizing the hooks we're #10's (they made for great gifts to my fishing buds who like fishing sunnies and perch). Most importantly for many of us, you can't beat the price.

I just got mine. They are supposed to be a Christmas present, but if we get ice, I might have to put my grinch hat on and sneak them out when my wife is not looking.

I love to rig 3 or 4 jig sticks and a couple combo poles all up with different jigs and immediatley got WAY too many ideas in my head when I saw the increadible choices all in one little box.

The variety is awesome, and the looks are not done justice by a picture on a HSOforum.

ice... ice... ice... c'mon ICE!

I plan on using them for shallow water, less than 15’ deep, during the day. I’m also thinking that some of the patterns and colors will work great for tough, clear water conditions. I can’t wait to try these baby’s out. For less than 50 cents a jig, you can’t go wrong.

I ordered the panfish jigs last week with a set of ice grippers and I received them in a few days time. I am very impressed with the quality and colors of the jigs. I also like the ice grippers because I believe they will stay fastened on my boots throughout the day. I thank you for the fast and professional delivery

Thanks Mako for the update. Those Ice Grippers are awesome. I love em and wouldn't get on slick ice without them.

For those that are curious:
There are a variety of jigs in the Tackle City Ice Fishing Jig Kit for many different situations.

I got a chance to try mine out on Rush yesterday, as Paul and whoever was at the "first spot" shortly before the group moved remebered; the perch sure seemed to like them. I caught a lot of little ones, but a few that weren't too bad. I bought the bluegill/panfish/crappie kit at the show. The one I have tied onto my panfish ultralight is a lil tear shaped Orange/yellow spotted with a glow backing, which glows nicely after a few seconds of holding it against my flourecent lantern. I like em.. and for that $24 I have all the panfish jigs I'll ever need.

I have been using these jigs for quite sometime. I don't think there is a better value. If you break it down, your getting each jig for under 50 cents when most tackle shops charge up to a $1 for a similar jig without the quality VMC cone cut hooks. And like crawlerman said, the kit contains enough variety to last you all season and seasons to come.

The Tackle City Ice Fishing Panfish Jigs are small finesse ice jigs with a great color/style selection (includes glow as well).

From jigs that flutter to those that drop rapidly. They offer a number of different profiles to finicky or pressured panfish.

These work great as trailers off bigger flash spoons like the Angels Eyes or Glow Devils as wll. The trailers can be highly effective on perch.

They are also a top choice when going after those bull gills.

They are most effective when fishing under 20' deep, but can be used deeper-especially the TC fat frys.

The hooks are high quality VMC (super sharp and hold it).

So far, everyone who ordered and commented on them have sent glowing reports on them. They're very high quality jigs and come at a fraction of the cost that lower quality, well known brand jigs are sold for.

Who else tried the Tackle City Ice Fishing Jig Kit for panfish?

What do you think?

We will be adding Tackle City Crappie jigs to the line-up real soon.

Super Sharp VMC hooks and NO PAINT in the EYE.

I know some of you have had the chance to use the Ice Fishing Jigs for sunfish. How did they perform for you.

We caught some nice 8 inch Bluegills on the Beetle jigs. And the Fat Fry is always a Crappie producer. The colors and patterns of these jigs match the natural plankton and coped food sources found in most panfish lakes. I have yet to break a hook on these unlike other similar type jigs. I put the whole kit in a fly box and it goes in my pocket and thats all i need for chasing panfish.

They worked very well for perch this weekend on Minnewaska. The purple Beetle was the ticket.

Very sharp hooks for a great hook-up percentage.
