White Otter Lake

Anyone been fishing White Otter by Clearwater this summer, used to go up there years ago, What a beautiful Lake. Just wondering if the fishing has changed. The walleye and trout fishing were outstanding. My son is 13 and was thinking about taking him up there for a week or so.

Bandit, I can't say for walleye fishing but the lake trout fishing is still very good. I fish Clearwater every year and stay at Browns, most of the resort heads to white otter for the trout. Like you said, the lake is super pretty and that castle is neat to. Where would you fish walleyes? Did you pick on the Brook trout while you were there?

Boedig ... Thanks for the reply! Sorry to say that I don't even remember exactly where we fished walleyes. We caught nice fish in a few different places. We fished for lakers, but never tried for brookies. We also made a couple of trips to the castle, very cool! Do the resorts portage to white otter or has the road [logging trial] been improved. Used to be you needed a 4X4 and a small boat to get in there.
