Bait -Leeches?

Does anyone know of a wholesale bait shop in Canada who will ship leeches by the pound? Just looking for some options in mid to late Aug. Thanks [YouNeedAuthorization]

Hey, [YouNeedAuthorization]. By looking at some of your other posts, I believe you are heading to Dogtooth in August. We just got back from there and we got our leeches from Wayne at the resort. There were a couple reasons for this. First, his leeches are much bigger than the ones that my buddies bought in Fort Frances and Nestor Falls. Wayne said that his source gives him all of his big leeches. Secondly, you can buy them everyday in 1/2lb foam cups. That way you don't end up with bunch of leftovers at the end of your trip. My buddies that bought theirs elsewhere ended up having about 3#s too many and they paid $40US/lb. Wayne's cost about $47US/lb after tax, but I definitely felt it was worth it for the reasons I stated above. One thing that you should do if you're planning on getting them from Wayne is to let him know that you'll be getting them from him. He made a comment to me that it is hard to know how many to have on hand because some guys get them from him and others bring them from elsewhere. As for the report, it wasn't as good as it has been in the past, but it wasn't bad. The fish seemed to be in transition mode. They weren't up shallow and they weren't really on the reefs either.

Thanks so much for the heads up. I was wondering if Wayne would have any that late in the season. I know down here they are hard to come buy mid to late Aug. Did you guys catch any big eye's? Also, I have never been up there so any advice as always would be greatly appreciated.
