Finlander
Just saw the fourth flock of Canada geese going north yesterday from my house here in Baxter. Usually I see them when I am fishing for walleyes on Mille Lacs around this time of year. The last flock I saw had around 75 geese and the rest had about the same number. I would like to know where all them geese go as there would be a great number of them if they all ended up in one location!
Fish&Fowl
I've seen about 500-600 geese in the last 2 times I've been out fishing...once on Rainy Lake and once on the river. Definitely fun to see some bigger flocks of birds again, only a little over 3 months to go!
Sartell Angler
yeah I watched a few flocks fly over while playing baseball in Sartell and again last night flying over the softball fields in Waconia...I actually counted the days in my head until opener when it happened last night and thought that this summer is going to be longer than I thought. 123fish
A lot of them end up at Oak Hammock Marsh in Manitoba to do their molting.
Sartell Angler
another flock of 80 or so birds came over very low last evening in Sartell...also saw several other smaller flocks. Gets me going seeing groups of geese in the air again! Just a few months and counting!SA/wdw
