bgreen82
alright guys, i am far from an expert bass angler, but it looks like i'm going out with one or two other boats on monday to an east metro decent bass lake. what presentations are key this time of year and are brushy areas the place to be looking? is the spawn over or in progress right now? lotsofish
I was out with my kid this morning, while this wasn't specifically a bass trip, we did fish them a bit. Saw lots of fish up shallow, 4 FOW or less. Saw several 4+ lb fish swimming around the weedy areas, right up to the shoreline. (Polarized lens are spectacular by the way. I just got my first pair this year and I don't know how I ever fished without them.) The short time we tried, we caught them on crankbaits, minnows, nightcrawlers and 1 smaller bass was caught on a flu flu. I'll probably be back soon to put more time into the bass, and I am planning on trying some different plastic/senko type presentations as well as the crankbaits which were working pretty well. This was the biggest one. Just under 19 inches and was caught on a black/gold crankbait.
