bassinjigs4pigs
I've fished a lot of lakes for bass but plan on making my first trip to Waconia this Summer in July. I was just looking for some insight on the lake(structure, clarity, etc.) and on the bass fishing. Any info would be great! I appreciate it! Great Site! Hog Hauler
I live in Waconia and have done my fair share of bass fishing on the lake. The best and most reliable places I have found are the reeds. These can be found on the north, north-west, and west sides of the lake. Also, there is a long rock outcropping on the west side of the lake that has been known to produce some decent bass. If you get there on a good day, don't be surprised to find a nice 4 or 5 pounder at the end of your line. Have fun!
bassinjigs4pigs
Thanks Hog! I am looking forward to it! I've heard a lot of good things about the fishing there!Jigs
Central Bassman
I have to be careful with what i say about this lake, I wouldnt want to give all my hot spots out for the FM tournament. Lake Waconia is my home waters. Hog Hauler is right about fishing the reeds and that rocks. There are some good docks on the lake also but they get hit hard. If you have fished for bass befor in minnesota you wont have any problem finding fish. There is alot of bass in this lake!!!
