adjusting engine idle

Guest

Question

I was wondering how to adjust the idle on a 1997 115 hp Johnson Faststrike. I was hoping I could idle it down a little lower than it currently goes for trolling. If I can slow it down, I can eliminate the need for a kicker. If not, then I'll just have to buy a kicker......any body have a small four stroke for sale????????

Ahh yes boat control. Its hard to get a 25 horse to troll down let alone a 115 horse. You have a good chance of loading it up if you try. Get a good bow mount and when it get to rough for that try back trolling. Theres always drifting and drift socks too you can use. If aslo used trolling plates and they work good.
