1995 100 elpto mercury lower unit what will fit

I have a 95 mercury 100 hp I ripped the lower unit off and I am trying to find a replacement for it.Does anyone know if there any options from different motors that will fit because the 3 jaw 20 inch unit it came with I cant find for less then $1000 and thats not in the budget.Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Some might fit, but it's a good question.

$ 1,000 for a good lower unit is not a bad price, you are talking $ 2500 new or $ 1500 rebuilt.

Did you just break the case or also damaged the gears ?

try boat motor recyclers in burnsville. they were they cheapest for mine last year. I had the old one. 1000 might be the cheapest
