Dick Sternberg Report For Mille Lacs

I just a completed the article which Dick Sternberg has compiled and there is some very interesting information in those 27 pages. I firmly believe however that we, the majority, the fisher persons need to make our voices heard through other avenues of communications beside this web page. The minorities end up with a lot of advantage because they become vocal. I believe we need to do the same thing in order to effect some changes on the lake. Before anyone jumps to conclusions I am not againist the slot limit in essence however I do think that the stats that were presented definitley show changes need to be looked at pertaining to the larger fish population. No I do not have a solution as to how we vocalize our concerns but I believe through this site we certainly can throw some ideas around so that the powers to be know that we are concerned not with filling the live wells, but the future of this lake just as much as anyone else. Just my nickels worth.....

bill turck, You're absolutely right, we need to all agree on a certain date and all set up laws as we deem neccessary to keep fishing on the right track and picket the DNR and send in some speakers on behalf of the majority of the fishermen of Minnesota. Since the state of Minnesota can't seem to get the job done! THAT would probably get some heads turning(I hope). Yeah, we'll treat it as though we are union employies fighting for our job rights!!!!!!
