ghotierman
Alexandria area had a great event with its IceFishing Challenge. Orginally scheduled for late January, it was postponed to mid February because of the tropical winter!...Anyway, I'm just wondering...having the contest on the last weekend of walleye season when the regular ice fishing crowd tends to slow down really gave a nice boost to business. Any preferences as to the best time for big prize fishing contests? January when the bite could be better, but the wind and cold bites too? or later in February when the weather may be more pleasant?...weigh in and let me know what you think?
