Went out this morning for some Crappies...

Found a suspended school of fish 2 feet off the bottom in 17 feet of water...Turned out to be some nice Largemouth Bass. About 2- 2.5 lbs... Good action on light tackle...Of course they're swimmin yet, in wait of open season.

I'm glad to hear ya found some nice fish!
Of course, I know you were looking for crappies this time of year, since targeting fish out of season isn't right, as you said. But it's interesting to know that they were at that depth & schooling this time of year, as you described.
Glad to hear you're having some action, even if it's not your "fish of choice".
