Guest
I have found that my local lakes have got about 2 feet of ice on them now, when 2 weeks ago, they had maybe a foot.So much for an early ice-out. Also, this cold weather is holding my fish in deep water yet, and I usually would be in a breakline pattern right now.Anyone else finding that there favorite spring time pattern is being held up by Mother Nature and still catching fish in more of a January pattern?I know I am, but who knows what this weather will do....it is Minnesota.Good luck anglers,PCG
hawgTime
I can't speak for "your" lakes or "your' fish. As for "my" fish and "my" lakes, the attitude here is more like "I would tell you, but then I would HAVE to kill you!" I will say we haven't had any problem catching 8" - 10 1/4" sunnies the past couple weeks.bullTime
Guest
I certainly didn't intend to imply "my" fish and "my" lake as an ownership thing.Just a figure of speach. As for an attitude...I am always happy to share tips and tactics. I don't have any "secrets", I just do what I need to to catch the elusive Crappies.Good fishing to all.PCG [This message has been edited by Pro Crappie Guide (edited 03-14-2002).]
Cliff Wagenbach
The crappie bite is still good up here on "DA RANGE" but seems to have slowed down a bit with the new snow cover. The ice has also gotten 4 or 5 inches thicker.Cliff------------------Cliff's Guide ServiceCliffsGuideService-LakeVermilion.comLake VermilionPhone: (218) 753-2005
Raven
I am still getting my Crappie in the holes. They still haven't moved as yet. Brought home 11 nice ones again this evening. Still over 2 feet of ice on the lake I fish just north of Bemidji.

Guest
Sounds good guys.I made it out last night, and am starting to find Crappies up shallower now, in about 15-18 feet of water, but there are still plenty of fish in the 25-40 foot ranges also. The big gill's are mixed more with the shallower Crappies, and it seems the small sunnies are suspended in 35 ft.Good fishing and good luck!PCG
juddfish
Pro Crappie Guide-I was wondering what lake you are finding these big gills on? I have been fishing Larson lake and catching small crappies only keeping a few for a meal once in a while. I would love to go catch a few bull bluegills. Could you send me an email at [email protected] any info will be appreciated.
