If I had to pick one lake.....

I've wanted to fish Canada for a long time now. I just turned 30 and I think it's time I made that happen. The main thing that holds me back is money. Some resorts want a lot of money for their services...and that's fine...I just can't afford it. I would be looking for a campground or something cheaper like that.

If you could pick one lake in Manitoba or Ontario to fish for northerns....trophy northerns...where would you go?

Go to Moak Lodge on Cedar Lake in Manitoba. For a room it is around thirty bucks a night. He has a campground, but I don't know what he charges. The lake is loaded with huge northerns and there are quite a few nice walleyes as well. It is a good lake for a first timer to Canada. You just go there and catch, not much knowledge of the lake is needed. He does have a HSOforum as well.
