We have a male P.B. that has been sighted by several iowa birders hanging around the same area as he did last year. My dilemma is whether to drive the 100 miles to where he is to try and get a photo

I have the answer. Find a good restraunt in the area that the bird has been sighted. Then go there to eat some time and if you happen to see the bird well, that will be a huge bonus! In my own case I could further justify it by taking a nice motorcycle ride! Have a good one and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
