I am think about adding a couple DD's to the arsenal.

Just wondering what you guys thought about them?

It says that it is a jerkbait disguised as a crank with an "almost neutral" boyancy. It sounds and looks like a sweet bait.

I really don't throw cranks all that often so I am wondering more about the glide action?

I haven't thrown one myself. But I got to see one in the water when the fishing partner was throwing one last year. The action you described is definitely accurate. I was very impressed by how it looked. Enough that I am going to have to add one to the arsenal this year. Used as a twitch/jerk bait, this thing has some great action. Fairly erratic with a nice side to side that will pretty much just hover there on the pause.

I picked up a few DDDs last summer. I was really impressed with them they are a very versatile bait. You can really do anything with 'em, crank, troll, jerk, pull... I am sure that the DD works just as well in a shallower application.

Great bait to have in the box even though it doesn't do much gliding. Rip it, bang it off rocks, twitch it along a steep break or wall...very tough lure. Might want to change the hooks though...lost two fish last year both around 53 inches ...bigger hooks might have changed that.

It's a pretty popular bait. Great action and is fairly durable too. Color choices are very nice too...
