Scrape Dipper question?

I bought a scrape dipper and i know it is only suppose to drip scent out in the morning because of the temperature increase. I was wondering though after u put the scent in the bottle the curled tube is in the lid. Are you suppose to pull the tube out far enough so on the inside of the bottle the tube is just inside of it so the scent can run easily into the tube?

It would still work with the tube up some but won't allow all the scent liquid to flow out of the bottle. I'd make it somewhat level with the inside (as long as it still slides and doesn't break a seal). The biggest thing is to not fill them up all the way as you need room for air inside the bottle to allow for expansion/contraction to make the dripper work effectively.
