Another gas line question

Question

Another fuel line question - Currently the gas line from my tank to the motor is the normal 7'. Would there be any potential problems doubling the length of the gas line so the fuel tank could be moved forward in the boat for better weight distribution?

I lengthened the hose for my old 25hp Mariner for the same reason. Mine worked like a charm. I just replaced the hose between the bulb and the tank.

Thanks Pete.....

Anyway, there is no problem with length of hose, but leave bulb closer to motor, and be sure it is in good working conditions, there is a check valve inside that stops fuel from returning to tank.
