12V accesory plug question

1forwalleye

Question

I have a question related to hooking up my Lowrance H2Oc GPS to a 12V accessory plug. I know I would not want to hook up a sonar to the deep cycle batteries (24V system), but would there be any interference to a GPS unit while running a trolling motor? I was hoping I would not have to run wires all the way to the back of the boat to get to my starting battery. I know a small gps unit would not draw much from the batteris, but I wanted to make sure everything would work properly. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think as long as it's 12volts I don't see a big issue.

The problem that I have with mine is that my acc. Where the plug doesn't keep a good connection or the power dips a little were it will shut off. Just havn't had time to figure out that issue yet.
