Questor
I usually don't fish until toward the end of May, but this year I've got the itch a bit early. What depths and structures can I expect to find panfish in at this time of year? I fish the late mesotrophic in the north twin cities metro.Thanks. GlassEyeangler
I went out last night for about 3.5 hours, and caught some fish. I was anochored in about 9 to 11 feet of water. I was on top of a weed bed. The boat was positioned in the mouth of a small cove...the wind swept side of the lake. We caught 10, lost a couple, and could hardly keep bait on the hooks. 5 or 6 Sunny's, 2 nice size crappie, a perch and a nice size bass took my minnow - of course, I relesed him right away because of the season. Fun times!I have been fishing about two to three times a week since ice out, and noticing the fish are coming in shollower water. Probably because of the water temp rising.Hope this helps. Questor
You bet it helps! Thanks! I haven't been out yet except for bank fishing because I had to finish some painting and refitting of my boat. Now it's ready and I'm dying to get out there.
