It really all hinges on the girth of the fish. If she had some major girth, she could very easily weigh between mid to high twenties. Did you happen to catch yourself such a fish Bob? If so, well done!

Your question is like how much does a 70 inch man weigh.

There can be a lot of variance depending on the shape of his body.

We can estimate until we die but putting a fish on a scale will take out a lot of errors.

I often guess the weight of my fish before I put them on a scale just to see if I can get better at estimating weights.

After several hundred flathead, I remember one from last year that I underestimated by 15 pounds!

I have caught Red River channel cats from 31"-36" that have all weighed 20-21 lbs. I have also caught 33-35" channel cats that were a tad lighter than that as well.

Sooo... your guess on the blue is as good as mine. With the pics you have been posting, they definitely look chunky so I'll safely guesstimate 25+. How much over 25 though? I dunno. Can't wait to see the pics! Awesome fish!
