Help on Streams in the Carlton County area?

I haven't fished the streams around here for trout. I do have all the supplies for it cuz I go down to wisconsin and catch a lot of browns. I really want to catch some here close to home. I am from cromwell, I know that there are a few trout in that crick along midway road, but I am sure that gets pretty populated on opener. Any smaller cricks around a guy could find browns and/or brookies?

That crick? You mean the Midway River. There are some trout in there. If you drive down to esko and fish somewhere around there you wont find many people so it wouldnt be too busy. I will probably be on the Midway Sunday. The Midway is stocked with browns every year if thats what your looking for.

try the blackhoof out by wrenshall... theres browns, brookies, and rainbows. not to mention the scenery, excellent casting room, lots of places to fish, no crowds, oh man i could go on and on...
