turk802
I originally thought about going up early in the year, but now I signed up with a buddy that will be up there in the middle of July - someone recommended that we take a float plane to get away from the crowds for a day - does anyone have any comments or suggestions on who to talk to????Thanks in advance!! TommyJ33
Unless you fish the Kenai, most of the king and sockeye fishing will be past prime. You may think about a charter service out of Talkeeta. Mayhams (sp?) they can drop you off up river at clear creek for some great king and chum fishing that time of year. Most of the road systems in the Mat-su area will be closed for king fishing by then. You can bushwack some of the area steams and get back for some decent rainbow fishing.
