Lowrance LMS 330C, LCX15, LCX17, LMS480

Does anyone use one of these units that can tell me if an 05 or 06 lakemaster chip is compatible. I cant figure it out from the lowrance manual. I have a h20 with the chip and am considering a 330c. I know it is an older unit but thats why the price is more appealing.

I have been comparing a lot of the other units like the LCX 17, LCX15, LMS 480. Some sights say they are compatible with the navionics chips but then I find on some fishing forums that the lakemasters (older than 07) also work. I get confused my the various terms for the cards (mmc and SD). Ive been searching the web for two days now and guess the easiest way to get clarification may be to ask here.

Basically I want a bigger screen graph, low cost, lakemaster compatible, dont care if its color really. I currently run a x67c up front and a x70 on the console. I made an impulse buy (due to a good deal) on a Eagle FishMark 500C but am reconsidering selling it for a bigger screen. I love the size of my X70!

The LMS330C is compatible with both the LM chip and the Nav chip. Sorry but can't help you will the others.

I have an X15MT and a Globalmap3000 and both work with the Lakemaster 07' Promaps. You just have to make sure that the software is upgraded. Any authorized Lowrance dealer will do that for free.

The Eagle FishMark 500C can not use Mapping chips the FishElite 500C Does.

Same thing with 480's the FishMark 480 doesn't use Map chips the FishElite 480 does.

LCX-17M will also Use the Lakemaster Chip.

MMC and SD cards are the same.

Sorry for the misunderstanding PierBridge. I know the FIshMark 500C doesnt take chips. I bought one yesterday at cabelas. It was in the bargain cave without the package or ducer (which I bought so it is complete). I did have them hook it up to the display in the fishing section to make sure it worked. The tag on it was marked as a FishMark 480 non-color unit (which I pointed out to them) but they still sold it to me for that price. I bought it figuring since I already have the 06lakemaster and H20 that I dont need a unit with gps. I am just exploring options for a gps combo unit (since the screen on the h20 is soo small) in which case I will either sell the FishMark 500C or the X67C.
