Walleyes, what are you using?

I was just wondering about some of the lures and colors you guys are using for walleyes. I know it depends on several variables, but what do you use mostly? I am wondering mostly about walleyes because I seem to have bad luck with catching them and I just wanted to know what most of you guys are using. Usually I resort to a leadheaded jig, white or light color, otherwise a plain hook. Come on guys help a novice out a little.

You can never go wrong with a swedish pimple! Buy many of them, in different sizes, styles and colors.

Silver, silver w/dimples, copper, glow, etc, etc. Try many different ones, tipped with a whole minnow, head, or a waxie for perch. Last weekend I found that the smallest set up I had was working best, and I was using crappie minnows! What a blast that 25" eye was on my noodle rod and 4lbs test! Change it up if something isn't working, and try deadsticking too, that produce fish last weekend when the bite seemed to be gone.

First off, make sure the lake you fish has a good population of walleyes in it. Here is link that will give you a lot of info on any lake in MN as far as stocking, type of fish, etc...http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/lakefind/.

Now, when I fish for walleyes I like to use either a buckshot rattle spoon, sweedish pimple, or jigging rapala. Tip theses with either a minnow head or whole minnow. I also like to deadstick for walleyes with jigs or a plain hook and live bait.

Good Fishing, Matt.
