Guest
Goin up to Winni this weekend. Heard ice is gettin pretty thick. Are trucks traveling all around now, or just selected areas? And what would be a good depth for the elusive jumbo perch? Thanks in advance.
Minnetonka
I was up last weekend. You can pretty much drive whereever you want. 20+ inches of ice. we stuck to the roads out of Nodaks until we were close and then drove up to 400 yards off the road to where we wanted. No much snow on the ice. Maybe 3-5 inches tops. try 22 feet early and late and move out to 34 in the middle of the day. We did stay in on spot in 22 feet all day and had a camara down and the fish were there all day. If the bite is slow, down size to a Genz worm tipped with 3-4 waxies.
