Places to fish on Little Sioux or Des Moines River?

Lots of good places on the Little Sioux in this area, but the river is still real high right now. The backwaters by the dam in Linn Grove can be good this time of year, as well as the area by the broken bridge off of highway 10.

when the desmoines is high, we used to fish a small feeder creek in a city park in estherville. that creek would fill with minnows and the lights at night would bring the eyes in to gorge themselves. it can fill up with anglers, but the parking lot just downstream in thesame park can be good too, if flooded. i't been years since i've done this, but it can be a blast. bring your hip boots
