Transportation on Ice (ATV's)

What model of ATV do you use for getting around the ice, and what do you like/dislike about it? With these ice conditions we are having this year, an ATV would really be handy to get on/off the lakes. And with no snow, a snowmobile would be sitting at home. Looking for opinions.

I ride a 01 Honda Rancher. I have a Ryans Rack on the back that hauls my fish trap II very well! I carry all of my equipment in boxes that I have rigged up on the rear rack and I carry my auger on the front rack! Works pretty good. The Rancher runs great, bought the wife one also. She loves her's but I would like a little more speed! Maybe when the Rincon comes out I'll give it a look!

I have a '93 Polaris 250 4x4. Runs real well but have a problem w/ getting it up steep hills. But it will pull real great across ice. I use chains.
