New motor

Question: is it worth it to replace a 2002 115 merc four stroke with a "newer" 150? or do you just punt and get a new boat and motor?

I think it depends on a lot of factors...

How much do you like your current boat?

How much $$$$ do you have to spend on the upgrade vs buying a whole new boat/motor package?

I'm all for upgrading motors if you really like the boat you have. However if you think you'll want a new boat in the near future, then you might want to really think about just getting a completely different boat. Will the motor swap help you get more money out of your boat when it comes time to trade it in or sell it? Etc,Etc...

I know I probably wasn't to helpful, but hopefully it gave you some things to think about.

Usually you will find if you put a new motor on a old boat you loose money in the long run. I would say if you have the money then do the hole new rig.
