Lowrance GPS ?

I recently downloaded the annual update (2.1) for my Lowrance Global Map 4800. Now, I cannot get the ground speed to show up on my overlay.

I called Lowrance and the guy argued that my unit never was able to show speed on my overlay. I do have a "closing speed" available for my overlay, but I am almost positive that I was looking at ground speed in the past.

My buddy has the Eagle Version (Eagle 480) GPS which is essentially the same unit and he has the abilty to display ground speed on his overlay. I wonder what the deal is?

Speed is a very important factor while trolling. It would suck to not have it!

I assume you have a paddle wheel for the water speed and GPS for ground speed too? I've seen this problem posted elsewhere....I'll see if I can dig it up unless someone beats me to it.
