portable home space heaters

At target I noticed they were clearancing their home space heaters. They had a few brands. Wondering if any of you have any recommendations. I was also curious about one that looked like a radiator that is an oil filled sealed unit that never needs to be re-filled. Is the oil filled better than the others? Are these portables safe because I always hear about housefires caused by space heaters.
