Hoarse howl

NAPAFISH

Recommended Posts

Can be kennel cough... could just be the fact he sat and barked for 2 weeks straight and has strained his vocal cords. I've seen it happen to dogs several times. If he doesn't develop a cough, or raspy wheeze or sound like he's constantly clearing his throat, and only happens on the howl or bark, I'd guess vocal cords. You can take him in and have him looked at by your vet, the costs associated with the treatment, if needed, will be minimal.

Good Luck!

Ken
