I heard from a few people that there are rainbows in Little Long in Hennipin County. I was wondering where to fish them. I believe the max depth is around fifty to sixty feet, but I am not sure.

I tried fishing it earlier this year, about mid-Jan, didn't have any luck. I did see a few fish come under the vex 8 ft down in 45 fow, my guess would be trout, but they just kept moving on. Haven't tried it since. I know a guy that does very good on them in open water, at least he did a few years ago until they stopped stocking it.

I also tried Little Long this winter with no success. fishuhalik you say the lake is not stocked anymore. Where did you find this out? According to the DNR lake information the lake gets 1500 yearlings per year. If they stopped stocking it I would like to know so I'm not wasting my time there anymore.
