I have an fl8 and will not go ice fishing without it(or I won't be happy about it anyways) Pops also has fl8 they work good together, I have also only heard good about the zercoms, just never used one. I can't imagine fishing without one, especially for crappie that come by in the middle of the water colum. Last winter on LOW a buddy right next to me was jigging his spoon, when somthing came through about 6 feet above where he was working, he reeled up a little and boom, 9 pound walleye. The really do make a BIG difference.
