I plan on fishing lake wissota Sat. Was wondering if anyone can give a report on bite or ice conditions. Also EC lakes. I grew up on Altoona but I don't think its doing well. Any help would be great! Thanks!

'Tooner should be picking up with the warm spell - Sat might be the start - then again it might be the Dead Sea. Wissota I heard a redneck, cheesehead rumor the crappies were pickin up - whatever that means. Otherwise I know a couple guys catching walleyes on the rivers here in town. For now though, haven't heard any good ice fishin reports - or ice reports. BTW - you wouldn't happen to know Derek Horejsh or Flagger?

The names don't ring any bells. I graduated from North in 98. Lived in EC until 2 years ago. Grew up on Altoona in seymour. Altoona has always been a dead sea, when I was young we could slay the eyes. Now its just over fished. Bass are not bad. My family now lives on Wissota. Just thought i'd giver a try.

Weather was great! Lots of people fishing by the View. We fished from 1-430 and only caught one crappie right off the bat. We later caught a small perch. The crappie was caught just of the plowed trail were everyone was. We made a few moves with no luck. About a half hour after we left a lady put her sled through the ice near the bridge. Ice was thick but slushy and some (Contact Us Please) an a 4 wheel felt the need to spin out right infront of us half the day. It was good to take the family fishing for the first time! All had fun! See ya next time!
