where to park-

Grant

Question

may be a bit of an odd question- but does anyone have any wisdom on where a guy could park a pickup and boat during the weekday while at work within a quick walk of the U of M East Bank campus? I work on campus and would like to get out on the water down here some days after work, and somehow I don't think that the university parking people would appreciate me bringing my boat into the ramps!

thanks in advance~

Good luck. Non ramp parking within a quick walk of east bank? HA! cool.gif And if you leave it in a street spot, you are just asking to be ripped off - Dinkytown, Stadium Village, etc. I'd bring it in the big ramp on 4th ave SE and 17th and head to the roof level, the h3ll with 'em, just watch the swing arm. I lived down there for 6 years, West Bank, East Bank, Como Ave - my locked truck got broke into on the street three times in three years, I eventually left everything out of the truck, stripped off the tint, didn't replace the radio, and left it unlocked to save my windows. If parking on the street or in a surface lot, I'd make sure everything is locked and out of sight! And don't ever park on the same street in the same place with the boat twice - it's the second or third times that you will get ripped off! mad.gif I'd put it in a suburban park-n-ride and take the bus, myself!
