Lake Madison Ice

Anyone notice the wide open water on lake madison this winter? Especially the area out in front of the Hillside Resort? What's the deal?

There were mallards on Pennisula Point until mid January which may have had something to do with it. Madison has always been a quirky lake when it comes to ice.

I hear you there, but back in the glory days, Cory and I used to limit out between 4:00 and 6:00 out front of my parents cabin. Now, I'm afraid for my life out there, and can't get a bite.
