carp contest????

Why isnt there a carp fishing contest? I fish the MN river alot, pull out tons of awsome fighting carp. Someone should have a carp fishing contest, I would go! Maybe there is one and I dont know about it? Is there? It would be one way of getting a whole bunch of carp out of our water ways! Im sure some hog farmer would love to leave a trailer at the contest, to throw the carp in. Pigs love carp!! And carp are a blast to catch! Any one wish to share your thoughts?

There's a carp contest held at the Coon Rapids Dam every year. BIG PRIZES, trucks and boats and stuff. Call 763-757-4700 for info.

Don't know about all of them, but most carp angling contests are strictly catch and release. If you want to remove carp, get into bowfishing, there are several bowfishing tourneys around the state.

The American Carp society has loads of catch-and-release tournaments and leagues, some contests pay $250,000 to the top carp fisher.
