Meat-Run
Can anybody tell me where the "drain" plug is on the lower part of the engine to drain the flooded gas? My neighbor told me there is a plug that I can unscrew and drain the excess gas from when I loaded up a cyclander?Any diahgrams or illustrations would really help.mr
caster
If you look below the exhaust Y-pipe, you will see three small bolts near the bottom of the motor. If you remove these, the gas will drain from each of the cylinders. If your machine floods frequently, I would replace the needle seats in the carbs. The round slide carbs used on these sleds were notorious for this problem. They make a better needle with a Viton tip for better sealing. It's a pain, but it is a good habit to always shut your fuel off. Draining these things always makes for a mess. Use a cap off a spray can or the bottom of a plastic water bottle to catch the fuel. Meat-Run
Hey Caster,Lastnight I tried to get those bolts out and I'm not sure what size I need because I tried to use metric and standard sockets and nothing would fit without stripping the bolt. Maybe I should contact a polaris dealer and see what they say? Your thoughts?mr
Payday
The bolts are 10mm.
