Auger mate ??

I am trying to save some cash and make my own auger mate type device to catch the ice and slush when I drill the holes in my Ice shack. Anyone ever make anything for this purpose? Or anyone Have any ideas? I have a few ideas but want to get some input before I start. Thanks

I made one a couple years ago and it works ok. I went to fleet farm in the and bought rubber tubs like you would feed an animal. I bought a small one the bottom is about 9-10" cut it out. I bought a larger one about 15" with 12"? sides. cut a hole in the bottom of the bigger one that the smaller one would drop about 1" below the bottom of the larger one. I have round holes in my floor so the small one fits inside of my metal rings for the hole. It does cut down on the amount of slush and water that gets into the house. I used 3 pieces of plumber hanger band and screwed the together and then cauld with rubber caulk. The rubber tub does not freeze and stays flexible. Hope that helps.
