woody1975
A group of us are duscussing going to SD to do a little snow goose hunting in the spring. We have our own decoys and I was just wondering how hard it is to find land to hunt on or if anyone has any suggestions on where to focus our efforts. Thanks for any help and advice.DL
Fish'n guy
It really dpends on where you are hunting at to get land to hunt. Due to how the geese react to the snow line where most pretty much all of the geese are at is where all the hunters are at. There are quite a few people who hunt them out here in the spring so if you get ahold of the land owner first then you are set, but good luck with that !!! The big thing is that nonresidents can buy their licenses over the counter. This means that outfitters and guides can take people out more readily wihtout much hassel. So there is a ton of giudes out scouting and getting alot of land before the normal guy can. So that can cause a bit of a problem if you have never done it before.
