Little Falls Lakes

I am going to be in little falls for the weekend after christmas and was wondering where I might mix in a bit of ice fishing. What I a looking for is safe ice and any hotter then no fish bitting. I have never fished this area so any info including bait stores and lakes would be great. Thanks in advance.

top dog, you could try Green Prairie which is north of Little Falls about five miles. It's mostly a panfish lake, but you will catch the occasional walleye. For bait there is a gas station on the west side of town that sells bait and tackle.

I fish that area on a somewhat regular basis. There are a ton of small lakes that put out great numbers of walley, pike, and panfish. Do a quick search on the DNR site for the counties in that area. Check the netting reports, the lake maps, and target a lake or two amd work it hard
