Hooking livebait

I was planning on fishing soon and was going to used bottom fished nightcrawlers for smaller fish like sheapsheads and then rig it up on my flathead pole and fish with that.

What is the best way to hook a large bait fish such as a wild sheepshead?

Depending on who you talk with...There are two places to hook live bait for Flatheads. I hook mine through the upper part of the fillet between the dorsal fin and the tail. Some guys prefer the lips.
