Ice King Ice augers??

I have my grandfathers old Ice King auger just wondering if any one knows anything about this company? It looks like my Jiffy auger. Any info would be appreciated!!

I think they were made by HARTECH (I don't believe they are in business anymore). They spin counter clockwise like a Jiffy, but you can not use a jiffy blade without a shim to modify the blade angle. They have a flat blade and the Jiffy has an angle on it. If you need a blade, you can have a machine shop make you a shim, but I would suggest getting a Jiffy shaft and making it fit to the bottom of the powerhead.

They have a 3hp Tehcumseh motor, and you should have not problems getting parts for the motor. I'm not sure about parts for the gear box. You may or may not be able to get chutch shoes or springs for it. Worse comes to worse, mount a Jiffy gearbox on it.

Hey thanks I dont need any parts for it it works great just wondering if its worth anything? I was thinking of givivng it to a buddy to use it but would hate to give him something that might have a value to it?

It's probably worth a little less then a Jiffy Model 30 from the same time frame due to the lack of spare parts.

$100.... maybe more, maybe less. JMO.....
