walleyewacker
I was wondering if anyone looking does any goose huntin in the Ft. Collins area. I ask because I am flying out to see my girlfriend in a couple days and I was wondering if anyone was going out that I could tag along with. I am not going to buy a liscense or bring a gun, I just cant get enough of laying in a spread and I have seen the amounts of geese the area holds in the winter and I think it would be awsome to hunt geese in that scenery. If anyone would be willing or know someone shoot an email [email protected] or it would be best to call me at 320-579-0656. I have been dreaming about doing this so any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bryan
CAJ
I don't know anybody that hunts in that area, but I visit my family in the north side of Loveland, I see the geese feeding like crazy next to the road going to the Fort C. Man, I would just love to get a day or two huntting there myself. CAJ
crappeyeslayer
I just want to bump this thread back up to the top. I am almost 100% sure that I will be moving out to CO, around the Rangely area very soon for a new job! My main passion in life is to be on the water...duck/goose hunting or fishing. I know that this area is pretty far west, but how is the waterfowl action around the area...I am willing to drive for good hunting. Oh I have never hunted Elk or mule deer, but I am an avid whitetail bow hunter. Is it even possible to get an out of state tag for either over the counter? Thanks for any input!!!! Lund4Fish
You can get an over the counter tag for elk, no problem. You can probably get a left over deer tag by contacting the Colorado Division of Wildlife CDOW (303-291-7227)after the drawing is complete (usually sometime in July) I've got several of my buddies tags that way after the drawings were complete. I'm not sure about the fishing and duck/goose hunting in the Rangley area, but I'd bet there is some. There is a lot of good goose hunting over in the Loveland & Ft. Collins area, but most of the hunting areas are leased.
