Clam 2000 versus Frabill Outback

I was looking at both of these at gander the other day. I thought it might be time to get myself into a portable instead of just sitting out on the ice all the time.

They are both the same price but they each seem to have their advantages. I like the height of the frabill since I am 6'4" but the hinges on the Clam seem to be more durable.

What are your opinions of these two portables? Does anyone own one of these? What do you think?

So we got a little info on each, anyone have the info that will put me over the top toward one of these.

My one concern with the Frabill is the hinge with the suitcase style. It seems like it might get brittle in the cold and not want to bend that well. How durable is the frabill?

I have had my Clam 2000 for a couple of years. It is Pre dome roof. I like it a lot. I noticed the difference in the fabric compared to a used Shappell that my buddy bought. The Shappell was also a lot taller and wanted to move more in the wind. I added a seconded spreader pole and my was rock solid.

You may want to check Scheels if you have one in your area. They were selling the Clam 2000 for $99 last weekend. I paid $239 for mine I think.
