Trapping Pigeons

It is legal. We used to do it all the time. Had a couple of traps that had the one way door on them. It seemed to work best if we put a pigeon in there to start. Then leave it for a day or two and go collect them.

We also went into a couple of old barns we had permission to go into and used a landing net at night with a flashlight. They were roosted on the old beams and we'd either net them or grab them. Pretty efficient way of getting them, just takes a little more time than using a trap.

Good Luck!

Just make sure you are not trespassing, we have been chased out of multiple rail yards checking our traps....its pretty fun running with a cage full of birds under your arm grin.gif We would usally set up a trap for a couple days with the food in there and the door open to get them used to going in there. Then we would set the trap, come back in two days and it would be full.
