Hook A Loop?

Not sure if anyone uses these or if everyone uses these, but I was looking at an ice fishing jig kit and it has two of these in them. I am wondering what they are and what the purpose of them is for?

You put on it on your rod handle and hook your lure too it. Some rods don't come with the spot to put your hook so they have to hook into the foam or cork on the handle. Get the genz bug kit. If you get anything Lindy.

the genz bugs are one of my go-to lures, you can throw a plastic on it and it fishes like a ratso or shrimpo, or you can just throw aboot any kind of livebait on it, they work great in open water too. I love the Blue glow for night fishing crappies. An the red genz bug with a green custom jigs and spins tail is deadly on gills.

thanks for the feedback on those, is there a big difference in one's say for panfish vs walleye/perch? I know there is a size difference but is it so noticable you need both or can you use either for those different species?

the size 6 and 8 are good for walleyes, all the sizes are good for crappies, and the 10 and 12 are good for gills. the two sizes you would most need are the 8 and the 12, i would get a couple of each. I just wish they made them in one size bigger, and one size smaller for the big eyes and for when you really need to finesse the craps and gills

I would get the kit like your looking at with the different sizes. The size 8 is good for Crappies and the 12 is good for sunnies.
