Swill
I purchased one of those boot and wader drying things last fall at Cabelas and left my waders on it for the past month. Well in order to dry your waders and keep the wader chest material away from the bottom you need to tuck up the material into the boots. Anyways, I untucked everything and noticed some surface mold on my 5mil waders. Will that surface mold just evaporate off or should I use a cleaning solution on them? Once I get the mold off how should I store my waders?
bigdog
I think you will have to scrub the mold off. I would try some laundry detergent, chlorine woulld kill the mold but may damage the waders. You can get a hanger to hang them up on the wall or from a closet pole.
airdriver
Lysole bathroom cleaner will get rid of the mold and mildew. Not the air spray, but the stuff you would use to clean the sink. Just mist it on the area and it should kill it with hurting the waders. After you dry your waders for about 24 hrs or less, hang them from a wader hanger. Best to do this inside, in a dry dark area. Keep them away from gas, paint etc. fumes. These break the rubber down. Also, everyone in a while spray them down with Armorall. Help increase the life of waders. A wader hanger should cost about 6 bucks. Still have room if you want to hit the river. hope this helps, take care.
